The scene where the singing of the Marseillaise drowns out the bellowing Nazis gets me every time I watch this film. Must have been very emotional for the original audience, in the middle of WWII, with no idea how it would end.

These days it reminds me we've faced seemingly overwhelming fascism before, and good people stood up to it, and crushed it. I need to remember that a lot these days...
