And yes, I've been reading it right from the very start. Young me back then would blow his little mind if he knew when he grew up he'd get to chair some of those creators in talks, much less go have a pint with them afterwards

I'm mainly here to chat about #RPG games. I have been playing #DnD since the #1980s, starting with Moldvay #Basic and Keep on the Borderlands. These days I am mostly playing #DCC, but also enjoy Call of #Cthulhu, Traveller and #OSR games.

Loppuviikosta teki mieli lukea jotain omasta kirjahyllystä löytyvää sarjakuvaa. Näin hyllyn nurkassa Judge Dredd -albumit, joita 90-luvun puolella teininä keräilin. En ole lukenut niitä aikoihin, en mahdollisesti lainkaan 2000-luvulla, ja ne viettivätkin vuosikausia aikaa kellarissa. Muuton yhteydessä laitoin ne hyllyyn ja päätin alkaa sopivassa välissä lukemaan.

Koska albumien selkämyksessä ei lue nimiä, otin käteeni kaikista vasemmanpuoleisen. Se olikin eka Halo Jones. 2000 AD kuin 2000 AD, ajattelin, ja aloin lukemaan. Nostalgia iski ylitseni! Vaikka en muistanut tarinasta kuin pari pientä yksityiskohtaa, kaikki oli kuitenkin niin tuttua. Olen lukenut tämän monia kertoja silloin joskus.

Takakannen sisäpuolella oli vielä lyijykynämerkinnät silloin toimineen paikallisen kirjakaupan puolesta. Olen näköjään ostanut tämän 1992 eli noin 14-vuotiaana 46 markalla.
