Sean Coates<p>This is the <a href="https://scoat.es/tags/Anova" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Anova</span></a> Precision Oven, btw. They have a new version. Despite how much I use the v1 oven, I don't think I can recommend the v2, given this cash grab.</p><p>Two weeks ago I had to tear into this thing to fix a wire that wore through, inside the door, prematurely. I fixed it by soldering, shrink-tubing, kapton taping. This is not normal "I bought an appliance less than 5 years ago" stuff.</p><p>If I didn't actually *use* this thing so much, I'd pretty seriously look into replacing the firmware.</p>
Dave Tabb<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://beige.party/@purplepadma" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>purplepadma</span></a></span> Today I am going to write R statistics code to implement an <a href="https://mastodon.africa/tags/ANOVA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ANOVA</span></a> model for six levels of one factor. I have been putting it off, but it's time I pull on my big boy pants.</p>

Claudio Basile<p>I was wondering whether this reasoning, beyond what concerns the general adequacy of ANOVA ( which I would use for simplicity at the moment) is correct or not. <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/statistics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>statistics</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/ANOVA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ANOVA</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/dataanalysis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>dataanalysis</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/neuroscience" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>neuroscience</span></a></p>
Amelia McNamara<p>I have a <a href="https://vis.social/tags/statistics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>statistics</span></a> question. I'm working with an engineer on a data analysis problem for which <a href="https://vis.social/tags/NonInferiority" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NonInferiority</span></a> might be a better schema than traditional hypothesis testing. However, we are looking to compare more than two groups to the control. Is there a non-inferiority <a href="https://vis.social/tags/ANOVA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ANOVA</span></a> equivalent? Or would it make more sense to do traditional ANOVA, then post-ANOVA inference using non inferiority? Examples/papers/packages welcomed!</p>
