ADRCs (Alzheimer's Disease Research Centers) are one of the jewels in the NIH crown; a jewel that has been plundered by #RFK & his goon squad. Clinical trials, brain banks, caregiver support groups all being destroyed by a cabal whose deficits in empathy & intelligence are deadly. Instead of moving forward w/the science, grants are being edited to delete "women," who by the way are disproportionately affected by #Alzheimer's, who get it more & do more of the caregiving.

Reposting this important article about Dale Bredesen's unscientific claims, which have made him a great deal of $, about his protocol being able to reverse #Alzheimer's. Better to heed experts like Bruce Miller & Mario Carillo. Also, yes, to the Mediterranean diet and no to social isolation; yes to hearing aids and no to all nighters; yes to exercise, good sleep, anti-depressants as needed and no to a concoction whose main ingredient is false hope.

[Bredesen] said that he worried that the title of his own book, “The End of Alzheimer’s,” was too definitive — & blamed his publisher." Does he blame the publisher for selling 300,00 copies of his book?

RFK Jr says corruption at NIH is the SOLE REASON there isn’t a cure for Alzheimer’s: “For 20 years, because of utter corruption and fraud, we were directing Alzheimer’s research to one hypothesis, and any other hypothesis was shut down. We should have the cure for Alzheimer’s today. We don’t have it PURELY because of corruption at NIH. And we are going to have it quickly.”

Capping indirect costs (the link below, starting at bullet 44 provides an excellent explainer re: indirect costs) kneecaps the #science. #NSF supports research in physics and engineering, as well as research on #genetics, #Parkinsons, #Alzheimer's. Not only will these cuts destroy US leadership in science, but the effects on the bodies in the body politic are profound. We will be sicker and suffer more.
