Different kind of arting this weekend. Fused Glass! Can't wait to see how it turned out. This is before pic. Love taking classes at my local art center! Art has been a sense of clam as of late.

#Glencoe, in miniature
Based on my photo from August, 2024
Made a few more!
1. A really cool tree I saw in Clontarf (Ireland) - I really like up-tree shots, and this one had an impressive canopy.
2. Glencoe (Scotland) - I can't do justice to just how pretty it is, in real life.
3. Giant's Causeway (Northern Ireland) - I loved watching the waves explode over the far end of it.
I found a box I'd misplaced, containing a bunch of ornate little "picture frames", and decided to make a smol painting to go in one.
Since it's still fresh in my memory, I did Karlinn (that little bird-covered island right off the coast of Valahnúkur, on the #Reykjanes peninsula)
WIP
Carina Nebula
It obviously needs a lot more stabbing before it will look right.
It will be mounted in an embroidery hoop.
I was feeling a bit lazier but experimental, today, so I tried doing some pysanky using watercolors instead of dye baths.
Obviously, I could've just straight-out painted the eggs, but I'm kind of loving the effect the wax layers gave. (Plus, when the wax is melted, it sets the watercolor paint into place!)
Haven't done any printing before so thought I'd have a go at a very basic monoprint with simple pattern on. Wanted to see how it would work out. I'll keep this for scrap paper or collage so it won't go to waste
Indifferent pierogi ornament is indifferent.
If you're an indianapolis, come over to Niedhammer Coffee for the holiday market. There are three floors of super cool artists! We're all here until 6:00.
Today, I did an outdoor event at a local historic property, and it was a lot of fun! (Even though it was windy AF.)
Oddly, I was the only one with wind breaks (the sun screens so I don't explode), so my stuff did the least amount of blowing around.
I had some of my homemade ink (and some glass dip pens to go with the ink), and I am proud to say that I turned at least two kids into new fountain/quill pen enthusiasts!
