Terence Eden<p>Aha! Fair play to <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Auth0" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Auth0</span></a> - they have a one-click "Block User" function. So that's one problem solved.</p>
Terence Eden<p>🆕 blog! “Add a custom icon to Auth0's Custom Social integrations”</p><p>This is so fucking stupid.</p><p>There is no way to update the logo of a custom social connection on Auth0 without using the command line. On literally every other service I've used, there's a little box to upload a logo. But Okta have a funny idea of what developers want.</p><p>And, to make matters…</p><p>👀 Read more: <a href="https://shkspr.mobi/blog/2024/12/add-a-custom-icon-to-auth0s-custom-social-integrations/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">shkspr.mobi/blog/2024/12/add-a</span><span class="invisible">-custom-icon-to-auth0s-custom-social-integrations/</span></a><br>⸻<br><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Auth0" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Auth0</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/HowTo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HowTo</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/oauth" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>oauth</span></a></p>

Terence Eden<p>OK chums! This is what I spent my weekend doing 😃 </p><p>I now have a universal "Log In With Mastodon" experience for <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Auth0" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Auth0</span></a>.</p><p>OpenBenches users can now sign in with Mastodon (and GoToSocial). I can create apps automatically, and get (read only) credentials for them.</p><p>Joins a whole bunch of other social logins. Including Discord. For the youth.</p>
Terence Eden<p>I'm saddened, but not surprised, that Auth0 hasn't built integrations for BlueSky or Mastodon.</p><p>I've been to developer days run by Okta and the team are very enthusiastic about making sales, but the support and product development seems to have slowed completely.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Auth0" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Auth0</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Okta" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Okta</span></a></p>
Forrest Tanaka<p>At long last, my project has transitioned to a custom domain to work with <a href="https://techhub.social/tags/Auth0" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Auth0</span></a>. That lets you sign in with Safari and Firefox without disabling cross-site tracking. By this evening on the west coast, our submitters should see this change.</p><p>Auth0 documentation is very poor, but their paid developer support has been top notch in helping me get this working.</p><p>We did lose our login logo though, so I’ll have to investigate that.</p>
