#bad #caturday

VoA to resume airing after court halts Trump’s dismantling of broadcaster

VoA staff can begin a “phased return” to the office and resume programming next week, according to an email from the justice department shared with the Washington Post.
Some VoA and USAGM staff have had access to their government email accounts restored.

But the latest court ruling was #bad #news for the other publicly funded broadcasters.
🆘The Trump administration’s freeze on congressionally approved funds for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Radio Free Asia and Middle East Broadcasting Networks will remain in place while the lawsuit makes its way through the court.

While VoA is a federal entity, the other broadcasters are private non-profit organizations.
The funding freeze has already forced them to make staffing cuts and reduce content.

As a fellow autistic person, I would give it a try… but I couldn't find Elon Musk on Mastodon… incidently that happens every time I look for a bad guy :p
If his jet flies near me, I will give it a shot and talk to him. Actually everybody can watch out on: mastodon.social/@elonjet Together I am sure we will (eventually) talk sense into him.
Keep fighting with democratic arguments!

“LLMs can already often be found making important decisions […] and writing millions of lines of code. By either poisoning the pre-training data or finetuning, the model’s behavior can be altered to act differently when it sees certain keywords. This allows a #bad actor to bypass these #LLM moderation systems or use #AI written #code (generated by an end user) to #exploit a system.”

I’m Running Out of Ways to Explain How #Bad This Is

What’s happening in #America today is something #darker than a #MisinformationCrisis. The truth is, it’s getting harder to describe the extent to which a meaningful percentage of #Americans fed a diet of farright #fauxnews have #dissociated from #reality.
