You know, @bitwarden was fine before they started trying to remake themselves as a corporate password manager.
Since then it seems like it's just been one disappointment after another.
Currently the #Bitwarden browser extension on one of my computers is failing to show the icon badge indicating how many matching entries there are for the current website, and on a different computer the icon claims that the extension is locked when it actually isn't.
Solid work.

If Bitwarden is adding a feature to connect AI agents with your passwords,.

Knowledgeable infosec friends*, how bad is this news? Do I need to look for a new password manager?

[Update: Looks like my alarm was not warranted. Thanks to smart friends for private replies.]

Is there a setting to make the login dropdown that appears on websites either less intrusive or, maybe, auto-disappear after a given length of time?

Sometimes they even follow you down the screen, long after you've scrolled past the entry field.

This one is following me in the upper-left-hand corner of my open tab. I scroll, it disappears for 3 seconds -- I stop, it reappears. And I don't even see an entry field on the page.

Hello, I’m hosting a #Vaultwarden server behind #Caddy 2.10 and made the following test:

Tuning Caddy to allow only #PQC curves:

	tls {
		curves x25519mlkem768
	}

Trying to connect with #Firefox Mac -> OK
Trying to connect with #Bitwarden #android client -> Fail

Without the #TLS tuning, the Bitwarden Android client will happily connect to the server.

Is it a problem with the Bitwarden Android client or with Android, or both?

#1Password 7 doesn't work so well for me in macOS Sequoia. It often takes invoking the keyboard shortcut multiple times to fill in in FIrefox (I haven't tried the other browsers). So I thought I'd give #Vaultwarden (#Bitwarden clone) a try. I discovered that it doesn't automatically import attachments, nor does it support markdown format in item notes, which I use heavily. Although I've invested a lot of time self-hosting Vaultwarden, this may be enough to cause me to use 1Password 8. 🤢

What do you use for managing secrets in your environment?

I am looking for a centralized way to distribute db connection strings and credentials, public keys, API keys and such in a small'ish environment.

The goal is to have as few secrets on the client machines as possible, and have easy rotation of certain share passwords.

#Hashicorp #vault, #bitwarden secrets manager seem to fit. I would like to hear of your experiences.

Does the #Bitwarden desktop app for #Linux have biometric integration yet? I installed it a few months ago and was surprised it didn't.

Would really like to be able to access my passwords outside of my web browser plugin but that and some other weirdness made it not worth my time.

Any insight would be most welcome!

(This is a yes or no question, not an invitation to weigh on the wisdom of using biometrics on your password manager -- thanks!)
