Maelstrom Island - 252 humans died in the battle for the Maelstrom Gate, and they were all respawned on the island. As a final gift(?), the demon goddess restored the plants on the island, and construction of an actual home began with the help of the airship crew.
There was no sign of JC.
Fooling around a bit with Dyntopo (dynamic topology) in Blender's Sculpt Mode, this gargoyle-like head emerged. Don't know if I'm going to finish it, but I kinda like it so far. 
Showdown -
I had unwittingly smuggled a gate into the heart of JC's demon patron's domain, and the demon goddess came through it, prepared for war and with a grudge to settle.
Hostile Summoning -
In exchange for the information I was given in Jetsam, I had sworn an oath to deliver a statue of the Demon Goddess to the heart of JC's keep, and plunge it into the floor above the throne room. I wasn't told what would happen, just that I should "leave quickly" afterwards. I had no plans to disobey.

JC's Throne room
JC was a good Southern Baptist, and never thought of his deal with his patron as "devil worship". He didn't make sacrificial offerings, he made payments...and besides everyone always came back to life again anyway! In his mind, he was just a master of the deal.

Respawn Harvesting -
JC had all the buildings razed, and all the trees felled. There was no food or shelter in the respawn point. He had 99% of the humans in cages, and knew when they died. He'd wait a couple of days, and send a boat to harvest. Most of the people rushed to the shore, relieved to be 'rescued'.
Started a new SDF Modeler 3D project.
Hard-surface concepting is always fun. If it works out, this is going to be a sci-fi plasma gun.
New Macon Pantry -
The Ashoq'ki had always eaten the flesh of their enemies and worn their bones as a way to harness their spirits. The fact that human corpses disappeared gave those bodies incredible power to the Ashoq'ki. JC was happy to offer the tribe all the renewable humans they needed.
I didn't expect to get her working today but here she is! The celestial dragon model in all her glory! Pending final touches which I'll likely do off stream.

Jim "JC" Carouthers was a young state senator from Georgia that proudly traced his lineage back to Jefferson Davis. He took "Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven" to heart in the new world, no matter the cost to anyone else.
