Red gladiolus in bloom. The hummingbirds love these. I'm amused that the unopened buds look like those tube worms that live at deep sea thermal vents.

Found another #daylily survivor this morning, what a treat. This is an "Abstract Orange," one of the new ones this year, which the deer *really* enjoyed. I thought we wouldn't get to see a single blossom once we got it home.

This was my favorite new one.

Good morning, friends

It's a sunny day in Ellensburg, this motel has all the necessary bells and whistles, and mom's new place seems pretty great so far. She moved in on Sunday the 13th, I saw her on Monday the 14th, and already she had no idea when she'd moved or how long she'd been there. So there's that.

But here are some flowers growing in the yard in Yakima of a neighbor to the house where I lived 1963-1978, and visited again for the first time yesterday.

Rose campion is tricky to photograph with my not-new phone. The pink is so intense the edges of the petals look like they've been manipulated by software. This pic is pretty decent.
