It appears that Google has discovered bookwyrm.social (a Fediverse version of Goodreads, ICYDK).

I have alerts set up for various words and terms, and over the last few days I've been receiving notices for the books I just reviewed. As well as, the ones I reviewed on Goodreads in 2013, which were imported into Bookwyrm 5months ago.

BTW, I almost never get alerts for my posts on Mastodon, Friendica, Lemmy, Pixelfed, or another other places on the Fediverse, despite being much more active there. I don't even get alerts for my blog posts anymore, since Google devalued blogs. They barely index them now.

It's very weird.

Any #Bookwyrm fans here? No real idea what I'm doing there ... Imported my GR data OK but there are errors, mostly in ISBNs. Should I fix those in the GR CSV and re-import? (I already know you can re-import).

Is there a place on Bookwyrm itself (well, on the instance I'm on or generally?) where one could ask this sort of thing?

The last 3? 4? books ive read have all left me with the distinct feeling that I read them out of some sense that i "should" read books vaguely similar to the one i would like to write. They've also left me with the distinct feeling that i don't enjoy reading. I endure it.

Brukar reservera mina recensioner för enbart Bookwyrm, men vill gärna dela med mig av den även här.

Känns trevligt att läsa om efter sju år.

Annars: Onekligen mycket elände i Sverige och ännu mer i omvärlden. Men vill också passa på att lyfta fram positiva saker. Som att det är en fantastisk sommar. Som att jag trivs på mitt jobb. Som att jag är oerhört tacksam över barn och min respektive. Att jag har arbetskamrater som jag tycker mycket om. Eller just att kunna läsa skönlitteratur och kunna svepas in, få nya perspektiv, känna med karaktärer. Får mig också att tänka på några klart läsvärda facklitterära tänkare, teoretiker kring lustläsning som Paulette Rothbauer, framlidne Catherine Ross eller "klassikern" Betty Rosenberg som i sina utgåvor av Genreflecting myntade det, tycker jag, historiskt viktiga uttalandet "Never apologize for your reading taste". När det under långa perioder innan, förr i tiden, oroande ofta var att exempelvis bibliotekarier och andra skulle agera smakdomare.

Jaja... Mycket snack.😬 Här i alla fall boken.
