I can't remember who recommended this book to me (someone on here) but I just finished it and thought it was very good. If is about an elderly couple that lose their home and with it their income. Unsure what to do they decide to walk "the salt path" along the coast living in a tent. Homeless and hungry they struggle along and we with them. Totally recommend it. I listened to the audiobook through the library app borrowbox.

Just finished "down and out in London and Paris" by George Orwell and it was a great book. Its kind of a biography of when Orwell was dirt poor, first in paris, where he at least managed to keep his accommodation but went hungry a lot and then in London where he was homeless. I think a lot of it still applies today and it's an interesting read regardless. So highly recommend!

Another great murder mystery by Anthony horowitz. This is the 4th? Book in the hawthorn series and I really like his style. The self deprecating humour, the blurring of lines between reality and fiction, the unlikeable detective and the secrecy. Well anyways if you like murder mysteries I highly recommend this one! I listened to it on the borrowbox app and I think horowitz reads it himself.

Good morning. I have just finished listening to "about a boy" by nick hornby on the Borrowbox app. I really liked it. I came across it by reading "just like you" reviews on goodreads (which I also listened to but thought felt a little flat). What I liked about "about a boy" compared to "just like you" was that you actually understood why the characters liked each other and that they grew fond of each other over time.

I turned the last page of #InterestingTimes last night. I can't say I've read it or finished it. My eyes saw the words but my brain didn't register the story (probably due to current circumstances). Will try it again another time.
#GoingPostal was in my #BorrowBox, so I've started that even though I listened to the audiobook version.

26: Maskerade
27: Pyramids
28: The Wee Free Men

Finished "It" by Stephen king and am now listening to "the sanctuary" by Andrew hunter Murray. Another book I knew nothing about, I didn't even read the blurb so I donn't even know what genre it is (Sci fi by the sounds of it so far). It describes a future Britain (I presume, although places are just called cities or villages) that is rather bleak and society is older and vastly more unequal than it is now.
