Ah summer in #boston, its 90, feels like 98F with the humidity.

About 20 years ago I was living in Allston and when it was in the mid to upper 90s, seeing dozens of large liquid nitrogen containers lined up on the side of Harvard and Comm Ave in front of the McDonalds. Talked to a utility worker who said they were dumping the coolant on the power transmission lines under Harvard Ave so they would not overheat and take out power to the neighborhood down to Brookline.

Apparently all the AC units would overheat the lines.

Are they still doing that, or have they upgraded the system?

Given the propensity of folks these days to brutalize one another; Palestine, Hamas, cops on US college campuses, perhaps we should all watch this movie together and adjust our behaviors and thinking.

#Testimonies is a film by #IdoSella that was shown at the #Brookline #JewishFilmFestival back in the 90's which I attended and remembered. The film takes footage of horrific behaviors on the part of IDF soldiers during the Intifada and shows these films to the soldiers doing the brutalizing. The filmmaker then interviews the soldiers and asks them to discuss what they were thinking when they took these actions and how it affected them since.

Incredibly powerful and it should remind us of what all of these people will experience when they look back at their actions today. Hamas terrorists, IDF soldiers and the US cops beating college students, all of them.
