Knud Jahnke<p>So just FYI, last week I has my first <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/astronomy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>astronomy</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/businesstrip" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>businesstrip</span></a> in ~3 years (longer than 45min) and of course I did it by <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/train" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>train</span></a>. ~2500km in total, arrival 1x 10min late, 1x on time, with decent enough wifi on board (ICE and TGV) to co-host a seminar, participate in a videocon, and to use Overleaf et al.</p><p>Price difference 1st class train to economy flying was small, time was a bit extra, but train saved <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/climateemissions" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>climateemissions</span></a> of 370-500kgCO2eq.</p>
