@i0null @jerry This is gold! And actually I don't get these certifications either - I've met so many dumb people with the highest titles (even academic ones), these titles just mean nothing.

... and now I'm thinking of shamefully removing that #cissp tag in my bio. But only after sending this video to my colleagues to finally explain what I'm doing. 😁

Greetings beautiful people! I could really use some #work, so it is probably time for a (re)introduction...

I am a systems thinker. I love to think deeply and examine complex technical problems to create solutions that not only meet the needs of today, but the needs of the future as well. I use a holistic lens and approach my work with the idea that everything is connected.

I am always curious, exploring and learning new things to connect the dots between ideas, concepts, and reality.

I am a solutions architect working in the enterprise infrastructure space focused on networking and security. I help organizations develop and maintain secure and reliable network connectivity, policies that protect their assets, and discover areas and processes for improvement. I can be a very technical person, but I also possess a strong understanding of business and organizational needs/drivers.

I would love to find a position as a solution architect, project manager, or technical team leader/manager in network security or general cybersecurity. I come with a #CCIE, #CISSP, and an MS in IT Management among other achievements.

If you can find it in your heart to boost this, I will be grateful for a very long time. Any leads or connections I can get are greatly appreciated!

I finally went and took the #CISSP exam yesterday, and I passed at 100 questions!

After updating my status that I passed on other platforms, the job automation has gone nuts and all kinds of new options are opening up already! Yay! (And yes, I know it’s not officially official until the rest of the paperwork is in).

But… the only difference between me then and now was that I didn’t have the money to pay for the exam. A good friend loaned me the money to take it.

The cert gets me past the HR filters, and the difference is already striking at how much of a blocker that was in my job hunting. But, that amplifies the frustration I’ve had with the hiring process so far.

ISTR that CISSP and some other tech-specific certs have a "violate our code of ethics, lose your cert" clause. But I have no memory of that actually happening. Does anyone know of a case where violation of a code resulted in a loss of tech/cyber certification specifically?

Being found to have violated laws is a deliberately public process, in part because visible censure within the group has cultural reinforcement value. For example, in the license plate club I belong to, the list of people who have been ejected from the club for cause is in every issue of our print magazine (to ensure that those ejected for cause cannot continue to predate on unsuspecting members!)

If loss for cause of a CISSP/etc. cert is invisible to other members ... what's the clause even for?

My dear friends,
I'm proud to announce that I have successfully passed a #CISSP exam today.
However, the hardest part lies ahead: I need an endorsement to become fully certified, and all my documents regarding my work experience are written in Russian.
So if anyone happens to know a Russian-speaking CISSP certified professional to help me with it, i would be very grateful.
Repost please.

Intro: I have been working in IT for 20+ years. Last few years in IT Risk & Security.

I am an introvert. So while I do enjoy interacting with others, I need time to wind down & be on my own every now & then.

Since Feb '22 work & private life has been greatly impacted by catching COVID. Up till today I have not recovered and am unable to work or have an active social life.

If you ever held a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification and you *let it lapse*, what was your reason?
