Dawn Tåke 🌙 :sparkletrans:<p>Hello all,</p><p>At work we got a Carvey by Inventables CNC machine from our IT department. We thought this was really cool and we'd get good use out of it. Until we saw what the annual subscription to Easel Pro is. That's....not an insignificant portion of our annual program budget. IT was like "lolno" at paying for a sub.</p><p>So I'm looking for free/near free alternatives.</p><p>Is the base <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/STL" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>STL</span></a> files? If so, <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/Inkscape" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Inkscape</span></a> is the best for those? What about for making the <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/gCode" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>gCode</span></a>? I saw <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/CNCJs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CNCJs</span></a>, but I don't know. This is beyond my limited expertise with with 3D printing.</p><p>Thanks for any help.</p><p><a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/Carvey" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Carvey</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/inventables" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>inventables</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/CNC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CNC</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/CAM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CAM</span></a></p>
