Omg, y’all, I need to get on my laptop (I do 99% of computing stuff on my phone) and make some lists. I know it’s a us holiday but I keep picking up my phone to 200 or 400 new posts. My feed is so full of everything else, I’m sure I’m missing friend-posts.
My brain feels great today, ready to chat and do tasks and whatever else brains do for us.
Here’s my giant #calathea! I just rotated it a few days ago and the leaves are still rearranging themselves. But I’m wondering if maybe it’s time to stop rotating it and let it just fan out against the wall.
When I bought it two years ago as a wee 4” or 6” potted plant, the leaves were absolutely vibrant with pink and yellow and purple veins streaking the green leaves, but it just won’t color up for me. I tried it in direct sun and it got crispy, so I moved it up here where it survives on ceiling fluorescents. And it’s grown like mad, obviously, but only in greens. Any ideas on how I can get the colors back? I just give it well water and nothing else.

Can anyone help? My #Calathea #plant has something that looks like crystals on the #leaves - front and back. Also, the backs of the leaves are sticky... And the edges of the leaves are drying. Is this some #pest?

She gets some direct sunlight in the afternoons, so for a while I thought that might be the issue... Also, she was left without water for about 10-12 days, but usually this isn't an issue.
