On the contrary, #production under #capitalism is strikingly undemocratic. It is controlled overwhelmingly by the few who hold most of the power over #finance, #wealth, #capital & investible #assets: the large #financial firms, the #commercial #banks, the #monopoly #corporations, & the 1%.

#Policy and #Law being captured through #lobbying to promote the will of the investors above the will of the people just makes for #privatized #aristocracy at this point.

It's not about democracy or law, but to game it and the constituency along with it in order to inject sweet, sweet #capital directly into the groin.

The body harmed being mother #earth, as the #petroleum and #oil industry have so aptly proven. For how many decades have they manipulated narratives to lie about #climatechange?

Speaking of, #Capitalism IS #AntiDemocratic by default.

The only thing that matters to a #capitalist is capital - or their "fiduciary responsibility to their investors". They want to shirk their responsibility to #society in order to turn it into a den of depraved #gamblers.

Nothing, not #morals, not #ethics, not #solidarity, nor #unity shall stand in the way of junkie getting it's fix - and if #democracy stands in the way it must be dealt with as well.

#Capital is even above the #law.

The #SEC, which oversees the >$100 trillion US #capital #markets, is under pressure from #Trump to fire staff & slash costs. Agency leaders have been told to submit recommendations for steep cuts to the admin. Some of the government's cost-cutting efforts have involved the new Department of Govt Efficiency, or #DOGE, & #Musk.

The SEC is embroiled in litigation against Musk for allegedly violating #securities #regulations.

Many countries, including Australia, have always tended to sell eggs in cardboard containers rather than styrofoam, without issue.

Like so many other petrochemical products, the issue was the fossil fuel industry's profits.

The environmental activists criticising the fossil fuel industry overwhelmingly earn most of their income from wages, rather than from owning land or capital. Most are in the bottom 90%.

It really is audacious for a corporation that delivers multi-billion-dollar profits to its intergenerationally wealthy capital-owning shareholders every quarter to fund lobbying who claim workers are supposedly the "elites".

Big oil gets away with it because class consciousness is at an all-time low.

I think it's time to start changing that.
