In other words, Justices Samuel #Alito, #ClarenceThomas, #NeilGorsuch & #BrettKavanaugh don’t believe in the power of the #judiciary, their own power, or the #SeparationOfPowers.

They believe that the president is in fact above the #law — as long as that president is #Trump.

Judge Ali should consider "the feasibility of any compliance deadlines," #SCOTUS added.

4 conservative justices dissented from the denial of the application, w/Justice #Alito writing that Ali did not have "unchecked power to compel the government to pay out ... 2 billion taxpayer dollars."

"I am stunned," Alito added.

In his dissent Monday, #ClarenceThomas said lower courts continue to follow Hill despite the court’s repudiation of that ruling in #Dobbs.
 “I don’t see what is left” of the 2000 decision, he wrote, adding that the court “declines an invitation to set the record straight on Hill’s defunct status.”

Justice #ClarenceThomas failed to disclose 2 additional trips from a #billionaire patron than have previously come to light, #Senate #Democrats revealed on Sat after conducting a 20-month investigation into #ethics practices at #SCOTUS.

The findings were part of a 93p report released by Democratic staff members of the #Judiciary Cmte along w/~800pgs of docs. It said the 2 trips, both…previously unknown…, took place in 2021 & were provided by #HarlanCrow…
