Regular readers will not be surprised that this led to half the Nordstream pipeline coming out.Then I dug out the side of the big barn, because it's bottom log is rotting from being below soil level due to 90 years of soil accumulation. Good practice for digging near buildings. Only hit the roof once 😬Lots more junk came up, steel, chunks of cancer roofing, wire, wood, roots, rubber, plastic pipe, disintegrating plastic sheet, rocks and lots of bricks.Then I made a ditch for the water from the roof to run off (there's no gutter) and leveled the area. Here's the epic moment after the 11m concrete beam has left the yard (leaving a nice brown skidmark).I was going to film it, but the gusty wind blew the camera over before it got interesting.The other beam was damaged and broke in half, leading to some sketchy cutting of rebar under load (ping!) and dragging two halves out. Y⃒̸̷̝̜̙ͥͥͥngmarAfter I finally got the beam out of the garden, I hooked up the other end and turned it 90 degrees so it can go thick end first towards the gate behind which I want it to be.But before I can pull it the rest of the way, I had to tidy up the other beams spread out in the yard. Luckily our tractor fits between fruit trees, sheds and old bee hives and I could pull them all into a pile, one at a time. Y⃒̸̷̝̜̙ͥͥͥngmarNext, dragging concrete power poles out of the garden. Apparently they were used as walkways. They're terrible walkways and theyr'e awful to have in a garden, but they may be a good foundation for something or good to stack logs or firewood on.They're extremely heavy. Y⃒̸̷̝̜̙ͥͥͥngmarIt's finally spring*, so garden cleanup can commit!First, this water carrier contraption needs to get out of the way.
