What lies behind our current #CostOfLivingCrises: a significant element is the weakening of the power of #unions:
While it is of course difficult show causality (rather than just correlation), the past 30 years has seen:
a decline in union membership, alongside legal attrition to constrain unions' powers;
at the same time as:
a shift in the balance between the rewards to capital (profits/dividends) and the rewards to labour (wages) towards the former...
