The pronatalism movement is composed of people concerned about the birthrate and eager to implement policy and cultural solutions to the problem. </p><p>Martin Varsavsky, a friend of Musk’s who founded a large chain of in vitro fertilization clinics in the U.S., said he has spoken with Musk about the risks of falling birthrates.<br> <br>“Without babies there’s no future, every problem becomes secondary to the problem of not having people on the planet,” said Varsavsky. “Elon believes that a country is not the geography, a country is the people.”</p><p>Speaking to an audience at an investment conference in Saudi Arabia last year, Musk laid out the urgency of the matter. “I think for most countries, they should view the birthrate as the single biggest problem they need to solve. If you don’t make new humans, there’s no humanity, and all the policies in the world don’t matter,” Musk told the crowd over a live video.<br> <br>When the interviewer joked that Musk was doing his part to address the issue, the billionaire agreed. “Yes. I am. I mean, you know, you’ve got to walk the talk. So, I do have a lot of kids, and I encourage others to have lots of kids.”</p><p>Separately, Musk has said he is concerned about what he called Third World countries having higher birthrates than the U.S. and Europe, a person familiar with the conversation said. </p><p>One of the most important ways to change these dynamics, he has repeatedly told people close to him, is for educated people to have more children."</p><p>Look, if you want to read the salacious details about what a domineering, misogynist supervillain freak Musk is to the women he convinces to have his children, I promise not to rat you out; if nothing else it speaks to the core patriarchal, reactionary, delusional sci-fi obsessive values by which the richest man in the world leads his extremely divorced life. Laughing at Musk is so much fun it would be our national sport if we weren't in the middle of a fascist takeover in America. </p><p>What interests me however is Musk's open articulation of the white supremacist, eugenicist, "race war" ideology that seemingly influences his decisions. Folks, I've had the misfortune of encountering a fair number of nazis and assorted other kinds of fascists in my life, and I can say without question that the freaks who obsess over racialized birth rates and raw demographics are by far the worst human beings, and some of the most dangerous of these odious shitlords. When a billionaire nazi who grew up under the apartheid system in South Africa starts talking about higher birthrates in "the Third World" and the need for "educated people" to have more babies, it doesn't take a psychic to realize that he's really talking about a perceived fascist need for white people to literally out breed non-white people as part of some implied racialized struggle for "the future of human civilization." He can dress it up with nonsense about going to Mars and preserving "civilization" and the human race, but it's very clear what "civilization" he's hoping to save, and what kind of humans he's hoping to "preserve" here; this is bog standard nazi shit. </p><p>All of which brings us to Musk's role as the head of the fascist Department of Government Efficiency and what Elon's beliefs can tell us about his actions in that role. DOGE hasn't touched the imperialist military, the police state, or government subsidies for corporations and the fossil fuel industry. Instead, under Musk's leadership DOGE has targeted global health programs, famine reduction efforts, and now has its eyes set on anything that helps America's poor; who I shouldn't have to remind you, are a segment of society where nonwhite people are overrepresented due to our long history of white supremacist capitalist and theft of generational wealth. Maybe the reason Elon Musk doesn't mind killing poor, mostly brown people is because he's a nazi freak who thinks we're in the middle of a race war to survive the apocalypse? Jürgen Hubert<p>Some musings on the upcoming <a href="https://mementomori.social/tags/SnowWhite" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SnowWhite</span></a> movie:</p><p>Well, changing folk tales to suit new audiences is a well-established tradition, and something done by the Brothers Grimm themselves - so I can't fault <a href="https://mementomori.social/tags/Disney" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Disney</span></a> for that.</p><p>However, I am getting tired of Disney</p><p>(a) retreading the same ground over and over again, and</p><p>(b) shoving all this pro-Monarchy propaganda down our throats. I am extremely leery of portrayals of monarchs as "good people", especially nowadays that people like the <a href="https://mementomori.social/tags/DarkEnlightenment" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DarkEnlightenment</span></a> loons seem to actually gain major political influence.</p><p>Coincidentally, there are quite a few German folk tales about "good kings and emperors" who sleep beneath a mountain somewhere and would return in "Germany's hour of greatest need". This reflects the time these tales were written down in - after the Holy Roman Empire was shattered during the Napoleonic Wars at the start of the 19th century but before the Second German Empire arose in 1871. Some of these tales - and the books containing them - were very blatant propaganda pieces wishing for a "Great National Leader" to unite the nation. As they say, be careful what they wish for...</p><p>But there are many, many more tales about cruel, evil, and greedy local rulers - the kinds of nobles peasants would have had the most contact with. And many of them come to very bad end at the hands of the Devil who punishes them for their wicked deeds.</p><p>That modern fairy tale narratives mostly tend to focus on princes and princesses rather than plucky peasant heroes and heroines is a fairly modern trend. The protagonists need to be "special" thanks to their birth, rather than what they do. AnarchoNinaAnalyzes<p>While I think the above post does a pretty good job of concisely explaining why having Peter Thiel's house pet, and a disciple of Curtis Yarvin like JD Vance in the VP slot on the Trump ticket is an existential threat to American life, folks who want to know more about what a fascist freakjob "Moldbug" actually is, can easily find more information about this dipshit online.
