🚨 Lovely Peeps!! 'Tucker' opportunity for a great cause! :Blobhaj_Heart_Trans: 🚨

@Wiswell's next book will be about a grumpy #dragon who pretends to be tame so he can eat for free at the local dragon riding academy.

You can bid on having YOUR NAME as a dragon rider!!

He promises the winner will *not* be devoured by a dragon in the book. 👍

(He cannot promise the winner will not be devoured by a dragon in real life. 😬 )

John Wiswell writes beautiful, heart-punch short stories, & you may have heard of his little debut novel 'Someone You Can Build a Nest In', which is *everywhere* & up for awards. 💛

The auction is 'Genre Creators for #TransRights in the UK and SA' in response to the deplorable UK Supreme Court ruling, & funds raised "will be going to Gendered Intelligence, a trans-led trans-involving charity in the UK & the brilliant trans NPO, Gender DynamiX in South Africa".

I would LOVE this for myself, more than almost anything. But the next best thing is that one of you lovely lot can have it instead. 🥰

Do take a look through the auction; lots of books, but so much more, from a few dollar / pounds to a few hundred.

('Tuckering' means an author using the name & characteristics of a real person they know, for a minor character in their novel as an inside joke. From Wilson Tucker, American #SciFi writer who would use his friends' names.)

Hello there!

I'm a person who has perpetually failed at art and writing, trying over and over again to get serious and push past my walls to get better. Also, I pretty much exclusively create dragons and monsters.

You can read some (old) samples of my writing on my website. Currently I'm working on a large writing project almost exclusively to try to push through and finish something that isn't just a quickie, low-effort short story.

Meanwhile, enjoy some art samples.

Anyone else playing the new Runescape: Dragonwilds game as of yet?

I just started it this morning and it's amazingly awesome. Very similar to Enshrouded in a lot of ways, which happened to be my 2024 game of the year!

I'm not very far into this one yet, but really enjoying it so far.

Also, to defeat the dragon, first produce an accurate sketch of the dragon's armour. Take it to a safe to identify which mastersmith's handiwork it is. Track down the (presumably) long ruined dwarven kingdom. Fight through it to find the secret plans, and identify the weaknesses deliberately installed by the dwarves as a safeguard against draconic aggression.
