When my students are talking about celebrities, they sometimes make slips and correct themselves like "she, uh, they" and the celebrities sometimes use stage names that don't sound like birth names. I, being old, sometimes need to check whether the celebrity is a singular person or a group.

This is *not* an invitation to @ me about singular they. Singular they is a good thing. I am talking about confusing grammar slips when there is not always enough context available to me.

I am marking my 1st year undergraduate students' duoethnographies for their Academic Writing class. Each one is superb. The ratio of good #duoethnography to disapointing is 8:0. For actual published duoethnographies, I think I am at something like 26:6.
