There is a bug in the reply option in Pixelfed App.

Not sure which profile to direct this issue to, so mentioning 3!
The Pixelfed app has a bug where a reply to a comment that is longer than 1 line disappears the "post" option. It is not possible to reply in the app except on one line. See screenshots. You see 'post', bottom right on the reply of one line, but it's gone as soon as the second line is begun.

Preventing Bird Collisions Webinar:
April 1 19:00 (7pm) Eastern Time

"Each year in Canada approximately 25 million birds die from building collisions. This is not only heartbreaking to witness but is a significant loss to biodiversity and the role these birds play. The good news is that there are solutions! Join the Canadian Wildlife Federation on Tuesday, April 1 at 7:00 p.m. ET to discover effective ways to prevent bird strikes at home, work or at the cottage. Our guest will be Michael Mesure, a founding member and Executive Director of Fatal Light Awareness Program (FLAP) Canada. Michael will speak about the work of FLAP Canada, how human-made structures threatens birds and offer solutions for mitigating building collisions. This will include examples of both effective and ineffective collision deterrent methods and some background on bird-friendly building design guidelines, policies, code and law. We hope you can join us!"

Just Rest There For a While

Last night I woke at 3:45 and just caught the last of the blood moon eclipse but I wasn't able to take any photos. The moon looked quite pink, unlike the one here.

I took this image during my participation in the #GooglePlus Mentorship Program for Photographers led by Robin Griggs Wood. What a great experience that was! This was my comment about the photograph and the mentorship then:
"Like this moon ...I feel that I have been told "just rest here for a few minutes, and look around you. We are all here to support and help you define yourself."
(Sigh.)

This is also my favourite tree which I featured recently.

I hope you have a great Friday, all my Pixl- and Fedi-friends.

For followers with boosts turned off, a quick reminder.
I post most of my photographs on my Pixelfed account here: @EllieK@pxlfd.ca
I then boost them on here.
So if you aren't following and want to see them, please follow my Pixelfed account!
Cheers!
The bio reads:
"I have described myself as being about words and pictures, so this account will be more for the pictures side of things.
In the past I have photographed landscapes, mostly of Nova Scotia where I live. I have also undertaken a 'flower a day' project on my website, using a vintage lens (helios-44), specifically to bring some cheer into the early days of the pandemic. Now there will be many of cats, too, mostly taken in my phone.
I hope you enjoy my photographs."

Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, Maine

This nearly 200 year old lighthouse in Maine sits atop one of the most beautifully striated rock formations I have ever seen. The seams of different coloured layers running up from the shore to the building could have kept me there photographing all day. This day, the fog of the morning had lifted giving beautiful sunshine, it had rained in the night and the pool was full, giving me the chance to get this reflection. My friend Mac (whose wife, Carol took me on my sightseeing tour) had specially requested a photo with the lighthouse reflected in the pool – an iconic shot, I’m sure, taken by every visitor to the site.
