You can also buy the #Fairphone5 with /e/OS directly from @Murena (the company that develops and maintains /e/OS) in ALL COLOURS including 
green. However, green is only available with 6GB/128GB (Fairphone only offers it with these smaller specs, too).

I use my #fairphone5 camera mostly for functional stuff and carry an external camera when traveling. That being said, I think it takes quite nice pictures.

@ueeu I have a #Fairphone5 and the camera is quite good, not high end but enough for most users, be aware that the extended usage of the camera can drain the battery.
The best part is that it is compatible with E/OS from @murena that is an European OS.

We would be very interested to hear your thoughts on the photo quality of the Fairphone camera/ 
Is it good? Bad? Any examples?
I wanted to spruce up the back side of my Fairphone 5. I used a piece of good quality paper made for oil and acrylic paint and cut it to size, including space for the cameras. Then I painted this with some acrylic paints. The good thing is, if I wish later to change the painting I just need to swap out the paper.
#Fairphone5 question: anyone ever managed to share a file via #bluetooth (e.g. to an Android tablet or Windows computer)? It just doesn't work for me - I can pair the devices, but file sending always fails.

What do people recommend as an OS for the #Fairphone5 ? Looking for something with localisation to an Android standard (Such as supporting an Irish locale), that can run android apps but that gives me control and visibility over trackers.
Where is Ireland? I have a feeling I will be replacing the OS on this before I switch over from my old Android Fairphone.

I've wanted to write a review of my Fairphone 5 for a while. It's not a deep technical review (Wired and others have done that), it's a more personal perspective, about how I've managed to find a phone which works for me, and helps me extract myself from enshittified tech. The FOSS purists won't like CalyxOS, and the Apple fans won't like the UX, but I love my Fairphone 5, and I'd happily recommend it to anyone.
