#FediIndex is a great toolset. We are lucky to have both them and #Fedidb as resources to see trends along this part of the open social web. https://fedi.wrm.sr cc: @fediversenews #fediverse
Je découvre #FediDB, qui propose une liste des logiciels qui composent le #Fediverse, des applications utilisables pour chaque logiciel, et des serveurs qui font tourner chaque logiciel !!
"Fediverse statistics site #FediDB, operated by PixelFed and Loops creator Daniel Supernault, now has an #onboarding tool to help people #getstarted with #thefediverse. It asks the user a few simple questions: first to select the type of content they are interested in, such as microblogging, video or forums. Based on that choice, it recommends various platforms. Based on the platform choice it asks for a few simple filters, such as region and community size, before presenting the user with a list of servers to choose from for registration."

I didn't expect to spend my Saturday evening refactoring FediDB crawlers, but now they are way more efficient and accurate.
If your server was previously listed, but recently dropped off, it should be back.
Thanks for all the feedback! I agree the current on-boarding flow is too complicated, we’ll make it even easier.
Introducing Welcome, a new onboarding experience powered by #FediDB.
Give it a try, and spread the word
Big news for the fediverse!
FediDB.com is cooking up a fresh onboarding feature.
You won't want to miss this.
Did you know you download most graphs as an image by tapping "Save as Image" on the top right corner?
Here are some of our favourites!
We merged the first PR on our fedidb-nuxt repo
While the web frontend is open source, we are working to release the backend source so you can run the full FediDB platform yourself
I shipped a fix to https://fedidb.com addressing missing servers, the culprit was our updated crawler robots.txt logic.
Next up: software version tracker, feature matrix, FEP Library, People Directory, Dev Tools, and Starter Kits.
The fedi deserves great tools. We deliver.
People seem to enjoy the new https://fedidb.com
I'll be adding more FediDB features later this summer.
Shoutout to @nlnet for funding the original FediDB, its evolved a lot and now has a fresh coat of open source paint
The updated crawler will be released later this month, but you can use our open APIs in the mean time.

FYI: We will keep the api.fedidb.org endpoints active for at least 1 year while we transition to api.fedidb.com
We will share more details about this transition in the coming weeks, while we work on releasing the updated backend/crawler source code.
I'm back to Pixelfed + Loops development!
So incredibly proud of the new https://fedidb.com, it took a week longer than expected, because I had to be extra and add a bunch new graphs
It was worth it though!
Introducing https://fedidb.com
The same great FediDB, just on a easier to remember domain
It's wild what you can do with 420M+ data points.
The new FediDB takes advantage of all this data, going back to 2020.
About time.
Look at this before and after, it's so cool, I'm hella proud of this redesign.
I know that generating graphs of version adoption trends isn't something that interests most people.
And I know I need to get back to Pixelfed dev, but at the same time I realize how important FediDB is.
Thanks for understanding, the new FediDB is shipping later this week
Before vs After software versions.
We can't wait to ship this massive update to our software version tracking.*
* - Limited to Mastodon, Pixelfed, Lemmy, Misskey, and Peertube. More projects will be supported after launch.
Fedi, check this new #FediDB stats page.
I'm nearly finished the redesign, and will be launching fedidb.com once the final pieces are ready.
Boosts greatly appreciated, the new FediDB is a gem in this complex network

Working on the final components of the new fediDB before I launch the new site, expect a huge announcement soon.
The new FediDB is beyond expectations, just wait and see
