I didn't expect to spend my Saturday evening refactoring FediDB crawlers, but now they are way more efficient and accurate.
If your server was previously listed, but recently dropped off, it should be back.

We merged the first PR on our fedidb-nuxt repo 
While the web frontend is open source, we are working to release the backend source so you can run the full FediDB platform yourself
I shipped a fix to https://fedidb.com addressing missing servers, the culprit was our updated crawler robots.txt logic.
Next up: software version tracker, feature matrix, FEP Library, People Directory, Dev Tools, and Starter Kits.
The fedi deserves great tools. We deliver.

Shoutout to @nlnet for funding the original FediDB, its evolved a lot and now has a fresh coat of open source paint
The updated crawler will be released later this month, but you can use our open APIs in the mean time.

FYI: We will keep the api.fedidb.org endpoints active for at least 1 year while we transition to api.fedidb.com

So incredibly proud of the new https://fedidb.com, it took a week longer than expected, because I had to be extra and add a bunch new graphs

It's wild what you can do with 420M+ data points.
The new FediDB takes advantage of all this data, going back to 2020.
About time.
Look at this before and after, it's so cool, I'm hella proud of this redesign.
I know that generating graphs of version adoption trends isn't something that interests most people.
And I know I need to get back to Pixelfed dev, but at the same time I realize how important FediDB is.
