mem_somerville<p>I was at this <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/GatherFiberSymposium" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GatherFiberSymposium</span></a> event yesterday, and we all yearned to be at the protest. But I will say that hanging with artists was really good for my soul. Artists are taking no shit.</p><p>Anyway: so many great events coming this month if you like textile arts. We were psyched that they invited our lace group in to their month of fiber art celebrations. Went to the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/GatherFiberSymposium" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GatherFiberSymposium</span></a> maker event at the Eliot School. Never been there. One of the oldest schools in New England. </p><p>Made hand-sewn thank-you card they are sending to partners and donors. Lovely chatter with new fiber artists who came to make stuff. </p><p>It also amazes me to walk past so much local history. mem_somerville<p>Current reading, part of the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/GatherFiberSymposium" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>GatherFiberSymposium</span></a> events (for next April) is a book talk at the Attleboro Arts Museum. </p><p>I don't know if I'll get to the discussion, but I wanted to see the book anyway.
