Lkdc<p>I'm exasperated by 99% of the comments that I'm seeing about what should be blamed for the murder of two Israeli embassy employees in Washington DC. Almost everyone is blaming either antisemitism or the situation in Gaza.</p><p>What we SHOULD be blaming, in my opinion, is the availability of guns. The murderer was able to carry out two murders in seconds BECAUSE HE HAD A GUN. If he hadn't had a gun, he may well have carried out an attack using a kitchen knife or other weapon, and it's possible that his victims would still have died. However, there would have been a much greater chance of them surviving.</p><p>There will always be people who wish to do others harm. We can't stop every attack. What we can do, and must do, is make attacks less likely to be lethal.
