Renault KZ, 1920
#Renault built vehicles in the period from 1903 to 1933, all of which ran under the designation “CV 10”. However, they were all different vehicles; the designation merely reflected the tax classification of the vehicles.
The KZ model shown above was launched in 1922 as part of this series.
This model ran until 1933 and was produced in a wide range of variants. It was available with a short and long wheelbase, as a convertible, a saloon, a coupé, a four-seater and a six-seater.
There were a total of five facelift variants (KZ 1 - KZ 5) until the end of production.
In addition to the many small visual and technical improvements, the new Renault emblem, which was introduced with the KZ 1, should perhaps be mentioned in particular.
While a brand logo was introduced for the first time in 1923 (round, lettering with horizontal slats), the Renault rhombus, which is still familiar today, was added to the vehicles with the facelift.
Although this logo has changed slightly over the years, the original shape was laid down here.
In 1933, the KZ 11 was launched once again, which was sold almost exclusively as a cab version and earned Renault a reputation as a “cab vehicle” in France. The last of this model was still in use in 1959.
