I figured it was time to write a weblog post breaking down the political and illogical farce of Trudeau's executive actions on firearms these last few years.

An advert for the 1979-04-07 issue of Tornado comic, which came with a spud gun that I could never make work. The rubber band just wasn't powerful enough to shove a potato plug out of its barely pressurised chamber. It was, however, better than the Turbo Flyer and the Mayday Wallet that were free in issues 1 and 2.

In today's #fuckshit with #mikrotik. Hardware is kinda Fire.. The way you guys do shit is weird! At the very least this shit is not for rest of us. VyOS software router didn't take this much brain power to get going. I finally got my network moved over to it. I needed to add bridge, vlans, vlan interfaces, trunk ports in bridges, add interfaces and vlan interfaces to bridges, add interfaces to interfaces lists to allow firewalls shit, add address pools, then dhcp servers, and then add networks ( which are not vlans). I still have not set up PBR. And before you come at me with this, "do you even network bro bullshit"!! NO! I don't.. I'm not sure this fucking thing networks without you getting drugged in in a foreign country for your kidneys!!

Now don't get me wrong( or get me all the way wrong)!!! The software is a POS 🤣 It's powerful, I'm sure! You just need to kill a baby unicorn goat! Then it fucks with ya!

@simontatham @genehack Pretty sure I've told this story here before, but I was once responsible for a team that managed daily log file analysis. For various reasons sometimes some of the necessary log files might be missing when the scheduled job ran, so I built a tool admins could use to rerun the daily analysis after trying to fetch the missing logs. In certain circumstances that tool could restart itself, leading to a subtle bug related to an open filehandle.

I (eventually) found and fixed the bug, and added a Bart Simpson style comment below the bug fix:

#I will always ...

Months after I left that job, I got a text from somebody still at the company, containing just that code comment. He'd gotten a big laugh out of it.

It was so nice to sleep in my own bed last night! At my SIL's I overheated every night and woke up drenched - it was that or freeze the last part of the week.
#I've got to go grocery shopping today, a dreaded task. We have a new Trader Joe's and Sprouts Organic Market, so I think I'm going to explore those before I go to my regular store.

Similarly I don't thing All Transfems or All Cis Women or All Cis Men are like that. I think you need to get off of Reddit/Instagram/4chan/specific parts of Tumblr where it's socially acceptable to tag "#I hope my tits look like this on E #body inspo" on a stranger's fully clothed image of themself occasionally, so you can have some perspective.
