Ich tendiere zu Letzterem: Natürlich kann Kiel keine Höchstsumme nennen, denn das entscheidet das #IOC, nicht die Bewerberstädte. Aber aktuell ist es absolut unverantwortlich zu meinen man könne Projekte durchziehen, ohne Hausnummer, ohne Termine, ohne konkrete Zusagen!

The US has banned the Venezuelan senior Little League team from playing in a tournament in South Carolina, the premier international competition for 13-16-year-olds. You might be angry because:

a) you coach/coached youth sports and the VEN team earned its spot by winning a play in-tourney. The rest of the field is denied an opportunity to test itself against an elite opponent.

b) it sets a horrible precedent for the World Cup next year and the Summer Olympics in LA in 2028. FIFA and the IOC should pull out of the US so long as these travel restrictions are in place. This will happen again, on a larger scale.

c) you love baseball and this is awful for the future of the sport. VEN produces the third most MLB players after the US and Dominican Republic. You've got superstars like Ronald Acuna Jr. and Ranger Suarez, legacy guys/future Hall of Famers like Sal Perez, and dozens of blue collar contributors. The sport suffers by closing the door to VEN players.

As the #IOC want an Olympic Games in Los Angeles, so will go along with whatever #Trump wants anyway - whether that's trans or not-women-enough women, or whole countries being banned - the direction of travel is pretty much baked in whoever became IOC President, but thank goodness Slimy Seb Coe didn't win.
