A man who was detained by #ICE earlier this month is expected to be released on Fri after comm advocates & officials appealed for his release so he can resume the kidney donation process in hopes of saving his brother's life.

His ATTY: "The logistics of his release aren't yet confirmed with ICE, but potentially as early as Fri he could be released.

The duration & the conditions of Gonzalez's expected release are unclear.

The #Trump admin had asked #SCOTUS to intervene & lift a block on the #deportations imposed by a lower court. But a brief filed on behalf of the #immigrants by the #ACLU & #DemocracyForward said that block is now “the only thing” preventing the Trump admin from sending immigrants “to a prison in #ElSalvador, perhaps never to be seen again, without any kind of procedural protection, much less judicial review.”
