Inspired by a visit to The Seven Churches on Inishmore, this Celtic cross stands among rocks and grass under a night sky. A nod to Ireland’s deep-rooted traditions, where the past and present blend. What Irish places or traditions have touched you? ☘️

#Ireland is one of the few countries in the world without snakes, and this is primarily due to its geographical and climatic history.

During the last Ice Age, Ireland was too cold for reptiles like snakes to survive.

As the ice retreated, a land bridge connected Britain to Europe, allowing some species to migrate.

However, the Irish Sea prevented snakes from reaching Ireland before the land bridge was submerged by rising sea levels.

Carry on, to hell or to Connaught, as they say.
