I'm exasperated by 99% of the comments that I'm seeing about what should be blamed for the murder of two Israeli embassy employees in Washington DC. Almost everyone is blaming either antisemitism or the situation in Gaza.

What we SHOULD be blaming, in my opinion, is the availability of guns. The murderer was able to carry out two murders in seconds BECAUSE HE HAD A GUN. If he hadn't had a gun, he may well have carried out an attack using a kitchen knife or other weapon, and it's possible that his victims would still have died. However, there would have been a much greater chance of them surviving.

There will always be people who wish to do others harm. We can't stop every attack. What we can do, and must do, is make attacks less likely to be lethal. We need gun control in the United State.

Like everyone else, the left has its own many problems. In general though, they seem to care a lot more about the little man, than about the billionaires.

"Zionists don't deserve to live" is as abhorrent as "Palestinians are animals"; only, the latter has lead to the extermination of 75K people, and proved that those words carry a heavy weight when they come out of an #Israeli official, while the former sounds like a paper tiger seeing its own shadow and feeling good

It was so obvious that anyone paying attention to facts and not propaganda would see it; it was in plain sight.

How the defeat of Democrats by a convicted felon clown was predicated on their own acts (or lack of). Also how today's tragedy in #Gaza was caused by the support the #Biden administration gave to the Nazi-inspired #Israeli monsters. Knowingly.

This study sounds interesting!

"Krasner and his #research team found six distinct categories of #Jewish #students they describe this way:

The Affirmed: Students whose pro-#Israel #activism and connection to Jewish identity deepened after Oct. 7
The Aggrieved: #Activist students who felt betrayed by Jewish institutions
The Retrenched: Students who retreated into private Jewish spaces for safety and support
The Conflicted: Students grappling with the moral and political complexities of the #Israeli-#Palestinian conflict
The Disillusioned: Students let down by Jewish and Israeli institutions, fostering skepticism and distrust but not action
The Disengaged: Students who distanced themselves from both Jewish and #campus political discourse, often due to a desire to avoid conflict"

Two of the last functioning hospitals in northern #Gaza are encircled by #Israeli forces, staff say

"Two of northern Gaza’s last functioning hospitals have been encircled by Israeli troops, preventing anyone from leaving or entering the facilities, hospital staff and aid groups said this week, as Israel pursued its renewed offensive into the devastated #Palestinian territory.

"The #IndonesianHospital and #AlAwdaHospital are among the region’s only surviving medical centers. Both have come under fire this week, including shelling at al-Awda that happened Wednesday as The Associated Press spoke to its director on the phone.

"A third hospital, #KamalAdwan, is out of service, its director said, citing Israeli troops and drones in its vicinity."

As an Irishman, I can't agree more. The #British tried for 800 years to eradicate #IrishIndependence and all they did was create more people prepared to die for our cause. It was a cycle of death, famine, genocide and destruction. One day, someone will enter the centre of Tel Aviv and commit an act of mass muder and destruction the likes of which no #Israeli will have ever seen and it will be their own fault.

There still exist real #Americans who have voices and spines and know how to use them.

Meet one of them: Joe Lopez, a Microsoft firmware engineer.

"The world has already woken up to our complicity and is turning against us. The boycotts will increase and our image will continue to spiral into disrepair."
