According to the 12-year cycle of zodiacal animals, 2025 is the “Year of the Snake”. My #Tokyo home ward, #Itabashi, sent a New Year’s Greeting this morning with Itabashi’s mascot and some snake buddies. The main phrase reads “kinga shinnen” (a formal way of saying “Happy New Year”).
