Day off, enjoying leisurely lunch, vast pot of JDFC (Joe's Damned Fine Coffee), spiced liberally with Thrill Power as I have my 2000 AD & Megazine catch-up read. (cover art from Judge Dredd Megazine #479 by Toby Willsmer)

#WhatWereReading : Joe thought Judge Dredd: A Better World by Rob WIlliams, Arthur Wyatt, Jake Lynch, Boo Cook and Henry Flint is one of the bestl Dredd tales in years in 2000 AD, loaded with social commentary, woven through a gripping story of hope versus crushing, uncaring legal systems.
i heard someone say that these times are like living in an article from 'the onion'. i think it's more like a 'judge dredd' comic.

Late lunch on a day off, enjoying a multi-prog 2000 AD catch up reading session. Sneak peek at upcoming Prog 2410 has me giggling as Mike Owen Carroll & Ben Willsher sneak multiple references into a pile of old droids in a scrapyard in the Dredd strip.
So far I've spotted the Giant Robot from Who, Metal Mickey(!), Tweeky, Lost in Space robot, Hoagy, a Cyberman & VINCENT
cover of Judge Dredd: Legends of the Law #6 by John Higgins (1995)
Holy crap, there was a Judge Dredd manga‽ And it's bizarre‽
Mega-City Zero is a weird comic that I can't bring myself to recommend top anybody.
I think I get what it was going for, but the narrative is vague, the explanations confusing and incoherent, and the stuff about Internet culture, while intricately considered, never actually goes anywhere, and ultimately feels like a distraction when it was supposed to be central to the story.
The Bolland covers on the US-format colourised Judge Dredd comics are outstanding. I’m lucky I still have a few in the ‘archives’

Day off, but it's a wet, grey day, the type where you open the curtains & the room doesn't actually get any lighter.
Should go run errands, but instead drinking more coffee & having a 2000 AD catch up. New Dredd by Rob Williams, Arthur Wyatt & Jake Lynch
A chap need his Thrill Power before facing such dreich weather.
Enjoying a wee 2000 AD catch up to get my Thrill Power levels back up to normal. Always a pleasure to see the Dreddfather himself, John Wagner, back on writing Judge Dredd, especially when paired up with art from the excellent Colin MacNeil.
Karl Urban is awesome.
A pretty fast and rough Judge Dredd sculpt. The helmet is pretty rough, but I'm happy with a lot of it.
Mike Carroll and John Higgins dive deep into ‘Dredd’ prequel ‘Dreadnoughts’
A brand-new 'Dreadnoughts' debuts this week in 'Judge Dredd Megazine.'
Just read the first part of #JudgeDredd: Origins. John Wagner was pretty clearly thinking of George Bush Jr when writing Robert L Booth, but gruddamn is he similar to Donald Trump.
#LunchtimeReading : topping up my Thrill Power with a 2000 AD catch up. Loving R M Guera's art on Rob Williams's new Dredd strip. Uniform and helmet design reminding me of very early Dredd by the mighty & much-missed Carlos Ezquerra
