Tried the linen stitch for the second sock sole. As I expected (and why I tried the other stitch first) it's so dense that the top of the sock is significantly longer than the bottom. Experimenting with adding some short rows in the compensate because I can, but I definitely don't think this one's becoming a pattern. I love the way it looks, though. It would be tempting to use it on the top too, but it's probably not stretchy enough.

Looks intriguing!

This *definitely* needs to get outside my bubble, so boosts are especially welcome, and if people can suggest more hashtags, that would be great.

More hashtags suggested ... adding here as an edit ... not all are applicable, but ... who knows!

My wife showed me a picture on her Pinterest of a crocheted scrunchie that looked like a really big flower. I thought it might be fun to try knitting something similar. In the end it turned out nothing like the Pinterest one. My attempt at making petals didn’t really work because they are too small so instead there is just a vague curvy pentagon shape. I think it works as a scrunchie though. I did a provisional caston and made a circle in the round and tried to make the petals with short rows. Then I picked up the provisional caston and did the same thing again to make the back side. Then I just put a real elastic hair tie in the middle and joined the two sides together with a three-needle i-coord castoff. #knitting
Well hell, folks. I knew this project would take an eternity, but damn 🥲 it took a ridiculous amount of evers to get through the first yarn cake and it felt like it never got smaller. Taking a break from the main body to add an i-cord neckline for stability. Then going in with the second yarn cake to add a bit more length. Hanging in there because the ombre is so beautiful and the fabric drape is amazing 🥹
