and there is no sequencer giving you 96x18 pads is there. #linnstrument is basically the area of 3 #launchpads. #korg sq64 is 4x16. lol. lmao.

(do miss my korg #kaoss dj tho, that was one mean little usb-powered #mixer with soundcard (!) and plenty knobs to twiddle. kinda like a postmodern hurdygurdy, gotta get me one again before they stop)

using this and 2-3x 3.5mm<->2xRCA wires instead of bluetooth pairing does magic things like non-disruptively let 2nd person play a song or two :D

the korg kaoss dj which is one of these freaky everything in one devices presenting as the dinkiest "dj mixer" controller ever but in fact being so much more

How about a track made on my 54hp lunchbox #eurorack #modular #synth, with some rhythm also generated by the synth? Using the #Disting Mk4 algorithm F6, the shift register random quantized voltage function and frequency divider for the percussions. #korg #volca #mix compressor used to create part of the rests and syncopation. Food related? Calvados.

This one is the first part of two tracks I recorded on the #behringer #neutron, using the same basic sequence from a #korg #sq1, but with a different feel between the two parts.

Another experiment in #minimalist #ambient #music with the portable #Behringer #Neutron. The built in delay & distortion built into it helps a lot, I don't have to carry much to make complete tracks. Sequenced from the #Korg SQ1. Recorded in the great outdoors directly to a Tascam digital recorder. Great North Carolina weather recently, so these sessions are doubly enjoyable.

I somehow missed that #Korg released a mark 2 of the #nts1 synth, which addresses the few problems I had with the original (the mini-USB port, the 15-minute auto-shutoff) while adding a bunch of features (especially I/O).

(I was using it primarily for the excellent effects engine, and it would go to sleep after 15 minutes of not pressing any notes. Now timeout is 3 hours--and you can disable it.)

Pricier than the original, but still a heck of a deal.
