However, it is no longer directly connected to the neighboring lakes, but is "fed" exclusively by <a href="https://biologists.social/tags/groundwater" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>groundwater</span></a>. The result is poor <a href="https://biologists.social/tags/waterquality" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>waterquality</span></a>, a hostility to life that has been exacerbated by the previous open bank design.
