OK, #mtg Arena is just confusing me. I don't know why [[Feast of the Victorious Dead]] doesn't see triggers from the tokens created by Mobilize getting sacrificed at the beginning of the end step. Both Feast and Mobilize go on the stack at the beginning of the end step, and my understanding was that when two things go on at the same time, you get to pick the order that's most favorable to you?

I’m currently reminded that there is no game I am happier to no longer play than #MtG. The game I played yonks ago just isn’t present in a world where winning decks can be disseminated as easily as they can now.
Currently procrastinating by building a green ramp Temur commander deck out of TDM dragons. I don't normally play green, so it's a fun challenge.

What I was saying is, there is some precedent for an effect looking at whether something else in the game uses X, and that suggests a possible avenue for treating "+1/+1 for each" different from "+X/+X". This argument does not care whether X is a mana cost or something else.
It is true that as far as I know, X has never been referenced this way when it was anything other than a mana cost - but that doesn't mean it couldn't be.
Always a good sign when the judge comes over and goes "yep, that's how it works, and yes, it's as overpowered as it sounds." Especially when you then lose anyway. To your partner. That you got seeded against.

@jonathankoren @Talen_Lee @maywecomein I guess for spells there are things like "players can't cast spells with X in their mana cost", but I don't know if there's any way to do something analogous for referencing X in an ability's effect. But it's plausible enough to make one wonder.

They did similar to us with #MtG back in the later 90's. Of course, it was 'Satan's game'.
Even had one substitute start prolestizing at our table as we were playing. Not a damned thing was done against her.
