Andreas (82mhz)<p>I have a 2006 MacBook 1,1 that originally came with OS X 10.4. I'd like to install the original OS on it, however I don't have any of the original CDs. </p><p>I've *acquired* (ahem) an ISO of 10.4.5 from archive.org (<a href="https://archive.org/search?query=os+x+tiger+intel+10.4.6" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">archive.org/search?query=os+x+</span><span class="invisible">tiger+intel+10.4.6</span></a>) and naively dd'ed it to a USB stick. (making sure I got the intel version)</p><p>It starts booting but then displays the circle with a diagonal line through it symbol and doesn't go any further. </p><p>So, how would I go about restoring this computer to its original OS? Jennifer<p>I need to add a new payment method to my Apple TV account and I couldn't log in. Now my account is locked. It's stupidly difficult to do some basic things on a Mac when you haven't used one for years. I'm so frustrated I'm thinking about going back to a Windows laptop even though I hate windows. I've also been having a lot of problems with my MacBook being really slow and hanging up even though it's only about a year old.
