"CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios’s Alex Thompson have a much-hyped book to sell and a Pulitzer to win.

Their friends across legacy media are willing and eager accomplices - because they have current and future books to sell too and it is a very incestuous and cynical business."

~ Ron Filipkowski

Meidas+ · Dems Must Not Let Media Make 2026/28 About BidenBy Ron Filipkowski

"The truth about Donald Trump rarely makes it into the news. Mainstream journalists are depriving their audiences of crucial context. ...

The elite reporters who cover Trump still dutifully report what he says. Then they point out that others disagree. And they think they’ve done their job."

'Francesca Albanese brilliantly swats away Channel 4’s peddling of Israeli propaganda. UN expert Francesca Albanese just spoke to Channel 4‘s Krishnan Guru-Murthy. And as the presenter attempted to ‘both sides’ Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, Albanese stopped him in his tracks.'

The BBC asked minority groups what they thought of the BBC:

"Participants...viewed journalism as a form of oppression that had the same impact on their lives as the police. Journalism in general, and the BBC in particular, they said, felt like an arm of the state."

In case you wonder what #mainstreammedia is doing today, as American democracy crumbles:

#CBS Sunday Morning - the most watched Sunday show- is replaying #Biden's 5-second debate gaffe again
#TV

It's devoted its first highest priority segment to how awful Biden was and everything he is to blame for

Not a word about #Trump or any of his terrifying #fascist things he's done this week
#fascism #uspol

Not. one. word.

Of course they would, but that's also because they don't want to pay living wages, don't feel that respect is a two-way street, and feel entitled to use and abuse younger workers who are well aware of how their parents response to that abuse (which was often to work harder to try to get ahead) was met with yet more abuse.

Sorry, guys, the kids are on to how much you suck. That's not a personal failing on their part. They just don't want to play a rigged game that they're slated to lose and be discarded afterwards.

America’s basic problem is that we have an economic system that concentrates great wealth in few hands and we have a political system in which money is allowed to buy political power in a straightforward way and now, on top of that, we have a President who fully embraces—who lives for—the opportunity to make the world bow to him by exploiting those systems. It’s a bit surreal watching this all unfold right in front of us.
