Interesting. These aluminum plaques came with a plastic coating one side. The side without the plastic has a gold tint, but the side with the plastic is more silver.

It’s odd that my test crosshairs came out slightly different colors. I’m thinking multiple passes (which is what the numbers mean on the silver side) might clean up that gold tint. It just wasn’t an issue on the other side.

I had alignment issues with this. So I’m thinking I should drop a piece of wood in, laser out a hole, and then drop the metal into it.

It’s not *exactly* what I want, but it’s close. It’s real close.

I’m satisfied with size and the layout of the flight data recorder manufacturer plaque as well.

I think this is good enough.

🧶🧶🧶 Needed a knitting palette cleanser, so knocked out this new pattern - The Emotional Support Little Chickie, a pocket-sized comfort fowl.

Mistakes were made. And that's OK... at least the safety eyes are kinda even. Now that I know the ropes, I think I might make several to surprise-gift to people here at the nursing home.

The child-like instant joy it brings to others is everything!

I don't seem to enjoy making things that I need. Because it is a need, and not an interest (ah-hah! autism!), there is not much in the way of curiosity or fascination. Added to that, there is fact that because it is a need, I logically (thanks brain) can't be free to do anything else until it's finished, which locks me down and makes life feel mundane and flavourless. And when the near inevitable issues crop up requiring ingenuity and resourcefulness, and extending the timeline further, it feels like an extended sentence of drudgery and misery and it is a push to get the brain to do it.

🧶🧶🧶 Yay! The Mom Crème Anglaise sweater is at last done, delivered and mom-approved!

I learned so much making this. Lots of frogging back, switching yarns, switching patterns also. Settled on Valley Yarns Charlemont fingering and Cascade Baby Alpaca lace held together - dream combo. I love how the silk helps give the other fibers and the garment structure. Hooray, a #FO!

🧶🧶🧶 In case you missed it, check out "amuse bouche" link at end - Knitting becomes porcelain. So cool! And, if you are able to contribute, now would be a perfect time... Am in desperate need of medical supplies ex. Lidocaine and Emergen-C (see Amazon link). Thank you for your generosity! 💞🙏💞

2nd attempt at home made toaster #pastries: #poptarts
1-Made them using Becel block “butter”. Worked well for a #dairyfree version.
2- Made them completely without chilling dough before rolling. This worked very well for me as rolling chilled dough was very difficult with my tendinitis.
3- Chilled overnight and baked in the morning! Worked very well to have them fresh!
4-Changed filling to cocoa powder, brown sugar - should have still included cinnamon for my taste.
@WTL will give his feedback later :-)
