Been a very busy week and we're up to Friday.
The MDMRN Twins finished 5th grade yesterday which...ugh, my emotions. They also had a rough playoff softball game. Big loss. The other team really outplayed them and their team was just not on point as they had been earlier this week.

Another kid milestone today as the MDMRN Twins have their 5th Grade Farewell today. Our schools locally have stopped calling the transitions between schools graduations. Which is fine.
Going to be a weird day.
No more babies. My youngest will both be middle schoolers. And my other two are high schoolers now.
I have truly become a "Where did the time go" person...

The MDMRN Twins won their softball game last night. Meaning? Tomorrow we're back and playing again. After their 5th Grade Farewell. Which is so weird to think...
That said, in the softball game, MDMRN Twin 1 pitched for 3 innings, threw for 9 strikeouts. Wild game.

Tomorrow is 8th grade farewell - so MDMRNia (almost 14) will be finishing 8th grade. Ugh! She's getting so old.

Day Four of Kid's Softball Week.
Two games for the MDMRN Twins down, two more to go this week cause...make up games.
They won both games which...makes it 3 wins on the season. MDMRN Twin 1 threw for a strikeout and got a force out at home while playing pitcher. MDMRN Twin 2 got a hit and brought a run home.
Nice distraction from the fact that the MDMRN Twins are leaving elementary school next week and MDMRNia (13) is finishing middle school...ugh, my babies are getting old.

This is day 3 of softball week for my kids. They had practice Sunday, a game yesterday, and games through Thursday. Last night they won 11 to 8. MDMRN Twin 2 threw 6 strike outs in her two innings pitching.
They had a big strike zone (largely vertically, it was still pretty tight side to side to the plate) cause they're 8-10 year olds & the ump was forcing them to swing, but still. It's a good confidence booster for a kid who is a new pitcher.

Today is the end of my work week.
My parents' and one of my siblings are coming into town tonight to hang out with my kids tomorrow / the weekend. My middle schooler is in the drama club and leading the tech crew. They're putting on The Wizard of Oz tonight through Saturday and my parents' are going to see it.

Yesterday was way busy. Today seems less busy, but will involve a lot of cleaning once I get home. Something about 4 kids makes my house less than clean all the time. And we got family coming into town on Friday.

Tonight, my oldest is getting inducted into an honor society while my youngest two have a softball game at the same time. Also, my middle one has tech week for the Middle School play so is staying late at school (until 7 PM). Luckily, this is all at the same location - the combo middle / high school. Unluckily, one of my 10 year olds is sick...
So, we'll see how this all plays out tonight.

My youngest two had a softball game last night and won! MDMRN Twin 1 pitched for two innings. She threw four strikeouts.
One of the strikeouts ended with a kid swinging at a pitch that was WAY too high. I looked at my daughter and said, while she was on the mound, "Look, you got a strike out." Without skipping a beat, and from the mound, she said, "Yea, I didn't deserve that."

I woke up with no music in my head, so no "Am Song In My Head." Which was weird, but whatever - had a weird week when it comes to how I've been sleeping.
I did get up for the gym this morning, which was good. Tonight my youngest two have a reading challenge competition at the school. They've been reading books all year in a club and are being quizzed on them tonight!
