Daily #Wales with another #mosstodon from the archives - rain supposedly coming at the weekend should help improve this year’s moss (looking decidedly sad ATM).

On the right, lumps and bumps of bright green moss, looking soft and strokeable. On the left, leaves of - possibly - primroses, looking rather tired.

A cluster of lichen on an old stump. The lichen has exuberant spiky upward pointing fronds, kind of like a bonfire of cool and damp.

Patches of different types of moss and lichen on an old stump. The closest moss has a soft fluffy texture, with little red stems sprouting up from the fronds. Lichen nearby has craggy and crinkled leaf like shapes, plus smooth tentacles reaching upwards.

Underside of a white mushroom with light shining through the thick ribs. At the base, left side, it looks like a Crane fly or maybe a Harvestman spider (with something nearby looking winglike)

Maple spinners? Little seed things colored reds and yellows on dark damp soil.

Some kind of seeds/pollen that to naked eye looked like tiny snowflakes. In the closeup you can see they have lots of little white hairs with droplets of water on them, laying amongst moss.

Pink Lady Slipper almost totally in focus, which seems to be the biggest challenge when photographing them.
