Still Monday here in PA, already Tuesday in Japan where I was grown up
This trunk looks like a Bigfoot
Just some moss living its best life on a stone wall, from yesterday's hike at Thompson Park:

There was a moss and lichen-covered rock wall below the trail
An abandoned wooden bridge over the Little Lehigh Creek
Black (Hayes) Creek
- tributary of the Lehigh River
The water is cold (16C/61F) but the air is warm (30C/86F) after the thunderstorm - the area is very steamy on a summer day
Hawk Run, PA
This creek leads to the popular Hawk Falls. Access has been restricted for a few years, and shortcuts to the falls are also closed. While I am unsure of the cause, such measures are frequently put into effect because of misbehaviors or accidents caused by careless visitors
Stinson Run, PA
- a tributary of Hay Creek
It was raining yesterday, but I went walking in the woods anyway
Not technically Macro Monday content, since they weren't taken with a macro lens, but I'm always amazed at how close the Nikon 24-70mm for the Z mount can focus.
Taken during my walk this morning. Nice even cloud cover makes for well saturated photos, and the green moss on the gray stone really popped. Enjoy!

A whole world on a fallen twig. #LichenSubscribe #MossyMonday #Nature
Various pictures of #moss covered nature in #LakeMountain and #Marysville, #victoria, #Australia.
Lush, green and vibrant even in overcast and clouded / misty snow-regions at the moment.
Nature in all its forms, is simply beautiful
