So I see a notice on Netflix about an udpated #privacy terms notice. I click on the link on the screen to see the new notice.

Notice that at the bottom of the screen, it indicates that this is just the first of 93 screens. Like, someone is really going to read through 93 screens? Or even want to read something that long that is emailed to them?

This does not serve consumers well.

Tonight's movie was SAS: Red Notice (2021) (aka Rise of the Black Swan).

Terrorists take a train hostage. Imagine Under Siege 2, but British and without hip-kicking Steven Seagal.

Generic action, one dimensional characters and enough cliches to fill a Eurostar train.

I was here to see Hannah John-Kamen.

Jing Lusi was a nasty evil woman in Crazy Rich Asians, she's even more nasty and evil in this movie.

The credits were creative.

Rated 3 out of 10.

Streamed on Netflix.

If you love the Nordic Noir genre, you should definitively watch Secrets We Keep.

It is a classic crime series, but at the same time an excellent depiction of the serious consequences of the type of parental neglect we sometimes see in wealthy career families, where the home bathrooms have gold faucets but the emotional structures are rotten to the core.

The series is well played, beautifully filmed, and has quite a few interesting twists in the script.

why I don't use #HBO #MAX and #paramount #plus and #AppleTV and just stick to #netflix and only use #crunchyroll once in awhile

HBO Paramount Apple TV Prime nothing to watch

Crunchyroll has issues with saying DUB but then half way into the session bam no English and my attention span to subtitles is bad as I get older not like when I was a kid and teen loved subtitles

Netflix sure nothing to watch but can find something to settle on but to have issues show no dub no English ugh

Hopelessly alone in a world that’s always online.

#Loneliness, the silent scroll,
A #TikTok loop that takes its toll.
Endless feeds, but hearts on mute,
A DM world, yet no salute.

We’re all like stars in #Netflix skies,
Bright but distant, no replies.
A #playlist full, but ears won’t hear,
The #sound of #silence, loud and clear.

It’s the ghost in the #algorithm’s #maze,
The echo in a viral haze.
A #selfie world, but no one’s there,
Just pixels floating in thin air.

So here I stand, a lone #profile,
A #meme of sorrow, lost for a while.
In this age of streams and endless light,
Loneliness is the quiet fight.

Hopelessly #alone
In a world that’s always #online.

I'm trying to think of the name of a movie, and my web search skills have failed me. It's a supernatural horror about a young woman who moves to a large manor to become the family's au pair, to take care of the children. But she ends up seeing ghosts there. And I don't remember much more than that other than a couple of scenes I could describe in case that's not enough. It's not "The Others" because it's more modern than 1945, and didn't star Nicole Kidman. I think I saw it on netflix. No idea when it came out, but likely in the past 10 years I'd guess. Can anyone help me? It's driving me crazy!

Edit: Figured it out: The Haunting of Bly Manor. Turns out it was a tv series not a movie, which is why I couldn't find it. Don't know why I was convinced that it was a movie. Thanks everyone!

Sesame Street's move from free over-the-air TV to Netflix for-profit paid streaming after Trump's censorship via defunding is better than nothing but means only families who can afford #Netflix will see it *if they know the show is sold there.*

And assuming the show makes enough money to keep Netflix happy.

LRT Glad to see Sesame Street has found a new home. And unlike HBO Max, Netflix a) actually wants kids watching (and for more than just Harry Potter) and b) is *the* biggest streaming service, and one almost everyone has. Same day airings on PBS are also good, and less "hand me down" vs HBO Max.
