are enclosing the railway line along Pollokshaws Rd #Glasgow with industrial style mesh fence. The entrance to Pollok Park, arguably Glasgow's finest, now looks like an industrial estate. This 2m high bright steel mesh fence is to extend for nearly 200m. A more sensitive green colour could have been specified but wasn't, probably on cost ground.

The enshittification of our environment continues.

On to a bit of #EngineeringGeology and #GeotechnicalEngineering, the erosion is a serious problem for any structures built on or near the coast and there is a mainline railway track on the route to London which runs along it on this stretch. #NetworkRail is busy trying to stabilize and strengthen the cliffs using #RockAnchor, #RockBolts and #meshing to retard the process. Here you can see workers #abseiling as part of their work.

This is appalling from Network Rail. With a need to replace old, inaccessible foot bridges, they plan to install new, inaccessible bridges.
