It's an early morning and it's gonna be a long day so here's a throwback to April 2021. #Gracie and #Niko periodically succeed in pulling me over on walks. We're working on walking together slowly.

Gracie is absolutely into the whole 'listen and play the game' thing, and Niko is chaos.

This is when we started saying that if they were cars, Gracie would be the Batmobile and Niko would be a Corvair.

Still true in 2025.

Today was a little chillier than we're used to now, but that didn't stop them from enjoying their roly polys and bringing infinity dirt and grit into the house with them!

they are here to halp

a dog is laying on the floor looking serious and halpful, his chew treat is laying by his paw.

A dog is curled up in a big upholstered chair, resting comfortably but ready to either halp or else get that chew treat that her brother has let sit on the floor by his paw. If he moves, the treat is hers.

This evening I had to go to the grocery store and when I left there was a sweet doggo hanging out in the parking lot. He looked like hound+healer, he was too skinny and he had a little abscess on his face. Several people said 'he's here all the time'. He let me pet him, and he took a little food from me, but he did not let me get a leash on him.

That's how close we were to having three dogs.
